From the design standpoint, the Genesis G70 presents a sporty and sophisticated look. The G70 has a bold and distinctive face, muscular shoulders and a wide, aggressive stance. This modern, premium sport aesthetic is then carried through to the host of sporty details you'll find throughout the car's interior. In contrast, as US News described it, the BMW 3-Series is a "handsome" car with an interior design reminiscent of "understated European elegance." In other words, very nice, but the aesthetic might be considered to be more "sedan" than "sports car."

The Genesis G70 also gives you a lot more of the power that you expect from a sports car. This power differential is especially noticeable when you compare the higher-end models. Surprisingly, the comparable BMW 340i Gran Turismo 3.0 turbo 6 cylinder only provides 320 Horsepower and 330 lb-ft of Torque. This is a significant difference that you'll notice on the road. Other than that, both cars offer comfortable, agile handling, although the G70's 36.1-foot turning circle is considerably more convenient in parking lots and other situations than the BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo's 40.4-foot turning circle.
